In the pursuit of a greener and more sustainable future, the National Irrigation Administration- Pangasinan Irrigation Management Office (NIA-PIMO) together with Pangasinan State University- Lingayen Campus (PSU-LC) and 71st Infantry Battalion (71st IB, 7ID Philippine Army) held a tree planting activity at Mapita, Aguilar, Pangasinan on May 29, 2023.
The tree planting activity is set to plant almost 600 various seedlings for three batches ( May 29, 30 and June 2, 2023). Over 160 participants composed of students, faculties, employees, locals and uniformed personnels participated in the said activity in support and help in mitigating the effects of climate change.
Also, it is a way of NIA-PIMO in full support of its program ‘Greening the Philippines the NIA way’.
