Tayug, Pangasinan - “When it rains, it pours.” In upbeat mood, this must be the slogan of the day for farm folks representing 22 Irrigators Associations (IAs) as they went home richer by 209, 270.25 Php. The cash incentive was for their outstanding performance based on their respective List of Irrigated Planted Area (LIPA) for wet crop 2017.
In addition, 45 water pumps were awarded to them by NIA in support to their farming needs; a total of 6 IA offices were also turned over to further strengthen the farmers organizations.
Meanwhile, 4 new IA’s namely SQ CABSIA and CABATA IAs under the Dipalo RIS and CSRPN and BARASANVI IAs of the Ambayoan RIS signed the modified Irrigation Management Transfer (IMT) contract with NIA which was officiated by RM Vicente R. Vicmudo. All the above activities took place in one setting during the ocassion of System Management Committee (SMC) Conference of the Ambayoan-Dipalo River Irrigation System (ADRIS) held at the newly renovated NIA Tayug Office here.
